Food & drink
12 October 2026 – 25 October 2026 · Participating restaurants across Formentera
For two weeks in October, participating restaurants serve a menu created for the occasion, inspired by Formentera's traditional cooking and made with local produce, at a fixed price. It's organised by the island's small and medium business association (PIMEF) with the Consell's tourism promotion department, and diners vote for their favourite menus. It's an excellent excuse to sit down to eat once the island belongs again to those who live there. It's worth checking the participating restaurants and booking at each one.
Town festivals
12 October 2026 · Formentera
On 12 October, once the beaches have emptied, Formentera celebrates the Virgen del Pilar. It is one of the festivals that best explains the island out of season: it is held for those who live here, not for those who come to watch.
Nature & sport
17 October 2026 – 18 October 2026 · El Pilar de la Mola, Formentera
The thirty-second BTT La Mola is the mountain-bike race for those who want to compete, starting and finishing in El Pilar de la Mola, on the eastern plateau where the island's only serious incline is found, on an otherwise almost flat island. Saturday 17 is for the Bici Kids and Sunday 18 for the BTT La Mola. It appears in the Consell's official calendar.
