La Mare de Déu del Carme, La Savina's fishermen's procession
16 July is the festival of the island's fishermen: a procession sets out by sea from the port of La Savina to lay a floral offering for sailors, and the day continues with traditional ball, activities for children and concerts. It is organised by La Savina's residents' association. Es Pujols, a former fishing cove, holds its own procession around the same dates.

Getting there
From Ibiza Airport to the port of Eivissa (about 8 km: about 15 min by taxi or the AERO2 bus, 30-35 min) and boat to La Savina (about 30 min): the festival takes place at the very port where the boat docks. From 1 June to 30 September, bringing a car requires prior authorisation at formentera.eco.
