We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and you don't need to accept anything to browse. This page explains, in detail, everything stored on your device when you visit Calma Society.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device to remember information. We also use similar technologies (your browser's local storage).

What gets stored on your device

  • One preference of our own. When you close or complete the newsletter sign-up notice, we save a flag (cs-society-popup) in your browser's local storage so we don't show it again. It doesn't identify anyone and never leaves your device. Exempt from consent (Spanish LSSI art. 22.2: it's a technical preference of yours).
  • Your trip planner answers, in this tab only. If you use the trip planner, we keep your answers (calma.planner.survey) in your browser's session storage so your plan isn't lost when you reload or go back. They are deleted automatically when you close the tab. Exempt from consent (Spanish LSSI art. 22.2: needed for the service you ask for).
  • Cloudflare security cookies (__cf_bm, cf_clearance), from our hosting provider. These only appear when its system detects suspicious automated traffic, to tell it apart from a real visit. Exempt from consent (strictly necessary for the site's security).
  • Cookieless analytics (Umami). We measure visits and clicks in an aggregate, anonymous way: Umami sets no cookies, doesn't track you across sites, and respects your browser's "Do Not Track" (DNT) and "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signals: with either one on, your visit is not measured. Your IP address is immediately converted into a non-reversible daily identifier; it is never stored as-is.
  • Newsletter, no third-party cookies. Newsletter sign-ups (MailerLite) are processed on our server, not by a script in your browser: signing up installs nothing on your device.

If we add tools in the future that do require your prior consent (for example, a third-party widget with its own cookies), you will see a clear notice before anything is installed, with the option to decline, and we will detail it on this page.

Managing cookies

You can configure or delete cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge…). Disabling some cookies may affect parts of the site.
