Ibiza is judged on ten weeks of summer. The rest of the year is a different island: whitewashed villages that honour their patron saint with ball pagès, a walled city that is a World Heritage Site, salt flats with flamingos, and races that finish by the sea. These are the dated events, from October 2026 to September 2027, that give reasons to go without setting foot in a club, and how to get to each one.
Every date has been checked against the official source for each event on 22 September 2026. Each listing links to its own page, with the exact venue and how to get there.
The essentials
- October is the best month to go: jazz, the Fira de la Sal, trail races and the sea still warm.
- November to February is the islanders’ own Ibiza, with the patronal festivals of the inland villages.
- March and April bring independent film, Holy Week in Dalt Vila and the island’s two big road races.
- Getting there: the airport is about 8 km from the city; for the villages in the north and inland, a pre-booked transfer or a hire car works better.
October: jazz, salt and mountains
From 9 to 12 October, the Vuelta Cicloturista a Ibiza sets off from Sant Antoni. From 15 to 18, Jazz Point Ibiza brings international jazz to the city, and that same weekend, from 16 to 18, Sant Jordi holds the tenth Fira de la Sal, alongside the ses Salines nature park.
On 24 October, the Ibiza Trail Marathon, through the mountains along the Sant Antoni coast, coincides with the festivities of Sant Rafel de sa Creu, the village of ceramics. From October to December, the town hall runs guided walks through Dalt Vila, which require booking in advance.
November to February: the Ibiza of the villages
On 4 November, Sant Carles de Peralta honours its patron saint, and on the 16th, Santa Gertrudis, in the centre of the island. On 17 January, Sant Antoni Abat is winter’s big festival, and on 12 February, Santa Eulària honours its patron saint in the quietest month of the year.
March and April: film, Holy Week and marathons
From 5 to 14 March, Ibizacinefest brings independent film to all five municipalities. On the 19th, Sant Josep takes to the square outside its church. Holy Week in Dalt Vila runs from 21 to 28 March, with the Good Friday funeral procession winding through the walled city.
In April, the island runs: on the 3rd, the Ibiza Half Marathon, from Sant Josep to Figueretes, and on the 10th, the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, from the port of Eivissa to Santa Eulària.
May to September
On 2 May, Santa Eulària celebrates the Primer Diumenge de Maig. On 24 June, Sant Joan marks the shortest night of the year in the north. From 5 to 8 August, the city celebrates les Festes de la Terra; on the 24th, Sant Antoni sets off fireworks over the bay for Sant Bartomeu, and on 29 September, Sant Miquel de Balansat closes the calendar in the north.
Things to do any day
- Dalt Vila on foot, bastion by bastion.
- The Phoenician-Punic necropolis of Puig des Molins.
- Es Vedrà from the sea, by boat from Sant Antoni, until 31 October: the clifftop viewpoint has been closed on foot since 2025.
- The ses Portes route, along the edge of the salt flats.
- Las Dalias, the Saturday market, and an organic wine tasting at Can Rich.
- The Cova de Can Marçà, above the cliffs of the north.
Getting there
Ibiza airport is about 8 km from the city, 15 to 20 minutes by car. By bus, the AERO3 express reaches the port of Eivissa from April to October, and the AERO2 runs all year, with a somewhat longer journey. For the events in the city and in Dalt Vila, that is enough.
The inland and northern villages — Sant Carles, Santa Gertrudis, Sant Joan, Sant Miquel — have a bus service, but it runs less often outside high season, and the festivities finish late. That is where a pre-booked transfer to your accommodation pays off, or a car. All the options, with their journey times, are in our guide from Ibiza airport to your hotel.
Our criteria
Only dates published by their organiser, or fixed by tradition, make this list, and all were checked on 22 September 2026. We do not recommend clubs or club nights: that is not the story we tell. Before booking, check the official website linked from each listing.
