Fira de la Sal: ten years celebrating the white gold of ses Salines

From 16 to 18 October, Sant Jordi de ses Salines and the Parc Natural de ses Salines host the tenth Fira de la Sal, organised by the Ajuntament de Sant Josep with the natural park. Its two big moments are the lighting of the Fogueró, the old signal that told the salt workers the harvest was starting, and a demonstration of hand-harvesting salt. There will be a craft market in Plaça de Sant Jordi, showcooking with preserving methods such as salmorra or ossos amb col, theatrical visits to the Torre de la Sal Rossa and ball pagès. The Ajuntament will publish the detailed programme in the weeks before.
