Dalt Vila

The walled enclosure crowning Ibiza town. The walls you see today are Renaissance: raised for Philip II over the medieval ones, and their design later influenced fortifications in the New World. It forms part of 'Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture', inscribed by UNESCO in 1999.
