Es Vedrà

The islet rising off the south-western coast, some 380 metres above the sea. You do not visit it: you look at it, and the place to do so is Cala d'Hort beach or, better still, the sea. The clifftop viewpoint has been closed on foot since 2025. It is the most repeated image of Ibiza, and deservedly so.

Practical information

Access
Since February 2025 the owners of the Cap Blanc and es Savinar estates have barred pedestrian access to the clifftop viewpoint and the Torre des Savinar. It is seen from Cala d'Hort beach, whose car park was closed for much of 2026, or from the sea, without landing: it is a privately owned nature reserve.
Best time
At sunset, when the light hits it head-on. Check access and parking before you go: they have changed several times since 2025.
