Santa Gertrudis, the festival at the centre of the island
On 16 November, Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera, inland in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu, celebrates its main day with a solemn Mass, a procession and ball pagès by the Grup de Balls Tradicionals Santa Gertrudis. The festivities take up much of November: in 2025 they included the EiViFest wine fair, an equestrian trophy and, at the end of the month, the Concurs Mundial d'Arròs amb Pebrassos i Trossos. The 2026 programme is published by the Ajuntament de Santa Eulària.

Getting there
Santa Gertrudis is about 18 km from the airport (about 25 minutes by car). By bus, lines A8, A9, A10 and A11 run from Eivissa and pass through the village; from the airport, take the AERO2 to Eivissa and connect.
