Holy Week in Dalt Vila: the Holy Burial within the walls
Holy Week 2027 runs from 21 to 28 March. Its central event in the city of Eivissa is the Good Friday procession of the Holy Burial, on 26 March, in which the city's seven confraternities join together: it sets off from the Cathedral and winds down through the streets of Dalt Vila, a World Heritage Site; in 2026 it began, as usual, at 20:00. Through the week each confraternity holds its own station of penance, and on Easter Sunday the Risen Christ is carried in procession from the Parish of the Holy Cross. Check timings in the official programme of the Junta de Cofradías.
