Cala Presili

A small virgin cove next to Cala Tortuga, at the foot of the Favàritx Lighthouse within the natural park. It is usually combined with Tortuga on the same walk, its quiet assured by controlled access.

What to see and do

  • the wild swim at the foot of the Favàritx lighthouse
  • combining it with Cala Tortuga, its neighbour, on the same day
  • in summer reached by seasonal bus, not by car

Practical information

Access
Summer shuttle bus only · seasonal bus service
Parking
In season (in 2026, from 15 May) the final stretch of the Favàritx road is closed to private traffic: you leave the car in the car park at the entrance and continue on foot or by bus. The L43 bus runs from Maó until 30 September, with six departures a day in high summer. From Favàritx it is about a 25-minute walk.
Best time
Outside the restricted season you can drive up to the designated car park, about 2 km from the lighthouse (parking on the esplanade is fined), and the beach is all but empty. In summer, take the first bus of the morning.
Effort
Demanding: a 15-40 min trail
Suggested time
~3 h

In season (in 2026, from 15 May) cars go no further than the car park at the entrance to the Favàritx road: from there, on foot or on the L43 bus, which runs from Maó until 30 September. In October there is no bus; if the restriction continues (in 2024 and 2025 it lasted until 31 October), walk from that car park.
