Reach the Favàritx lighthouse at dusk

A black-and-white striped lighthouse on a headland of ribboned black slate that looks like nowhere else on the island, at the northern edge of the s'Albufera des Grau nature park. Car access to the lighthouse is restricted in season (in 2026, from 15 May; last year it lasted until 31 October). Until 30 September you get there on the seasonal bus from Maó (route 43, about €3.60 each way); the rest of the year, drive to the car park at the entrance and walk the last 2 km, as parking on the esplanade by the lighthouse is prohibited. If you are going for the sunset, note that the last bus back leaves the lighthouse at 7.45pm (2026 timetable), before sunset until late September. Check the year's calendar before setting off. If you only see one lighthouse in Menorca, make it this one.
