Talayotic Menorca with archaeologists: free autumn visits

The Agencia Menorca Talayótica closes the year with three free outings of “Vive Menorca Talayótica”, its programme to raise awareness of the site declared a World Heritage property by UNESCO. On 18 October, “A Portal in Time”: two taula enclosures very close together at Sa Torreta de Tramuntana, according to the latest hypotheses. On 22 November, the Naveta des Tudons and Torrellafuda explained from the inside: how the sites are managed, maintained and conserved. On 13 December, “Archaeologists for a Day” at the Museu de Can Saura in Ciutadella. Places are limited; booking opens two Mondays before each activity.

Getting there

The Naveta des Tudons and Torrellafuda are in the Ciutadella municipality, about 44 km from the airport (about 50 minutes by car); the November visit includes travelling by car between sites. The exact meeting point is sent to those booked in on the Thursday or Friday before.
