Sant Miquel de Balansat, the festival that closes September in the north
On 29 September, Sant Miquel de Balansat, in the municipality of Sant Joan de Labritja, celebrates its patron saint, Sant Miquel Arcàngel. In 2026 the day began with bell-ringing, a solemn Mass, a procession and ball pagès by the Colla de Balansat, and in the evening there was a concert and correfoc. The festivities run on for weeks (in 2026, until 18 October) and include a popular walk from the church to Port de Sant Miquel. The 2027 programme is yet to be confirmed; check with the Ajuntament de Sant Joan.
