“Orlando furioso”, Vivaldi's Baroque opera at the Principal
For the first time, a work by Antonio Vivaldi enters the Teatre Principal's opera season: “Orlando furioso”, based on Ariosto's poem, in a production by the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. The Principal notes that it marks 300 years since the work's premiere. Three performances: Wednesday 17 and Friday 19 February 2027 at 20:00, and Sunday 21 at 18:00; it is sung in Italian with surtitles in Catalan, Spanish and English. A good reason for a weekend in Palma in the depths of winter.
