Formentera Mira al Cel: telescopes at Can Marroig
Formentera has been a Starlight Tourist Destination since 2023, and the Consell marks it with free stargazing nights with telescopes, open to everyone, alongside the Associació Astronòmica de Formentera. The session on 9 October is planned at the Can Marroig public estate. The 2026 programme devotes September and October to galaxies and nebulae, with Andromeda and Saturn. What can be observed may change depending on the weather.

Getting there
From Ibiza Airport to the port of Eivissa (about 8 km: about 15 min by taxi or the AERO2 bus, 30-35 min) and boat to La Savina (about 30 min). Can Marroig lies west of Sant Francesc: green route 4, from Sant Francesc to Can Marroig, is 3.9 km. At night, a taxi is the easiest option.
