Sa Rua, Palma's carnival
Sa Rua is the great parade of floats and troupes at Palma's Carnival, organised by the Ajuntament with its floats-and-troupes competition; a week earlier, Sa Rueta is aimed at children. It's held on Carnival Sunday: it fell on 2 March in 2025 and 15 February in 2026, so in 2027 it should fall on Sunday 7 February, pending the official programme. In 2026 it set off at 17:00 from La Rambla and finished on Jaume III.

Getting there
La Rambla is about 12 km from the airport (about 20 minutes by car with no traffic); EMT line A1 reaches Plaça d'Espanya, a short walk away. The parade closes streets in the centre: best on foot.
